Colombia's Economy Grows 3.2 Percent in Q2 2026, Lifted by Tourism and Exports
The Colombian central bank reported second-quarter GDP growth of 3.2 percent, driven by a surge in tourism and strong coffee and mineral exports.

Colombia's economy expanded 3.2 percent in the second quarter of 2026, according to data released July 7 by the Banco de la República. The growth was fueled by a notable increase in international tourism and rising exports of coffee and minerals.
The central bank now projects full-year growth of 3.5 percent, a figure that would represent a meaningful acceleration for an economy that has been working through inflationary pressures over the past two years.
Tourism has emerged as a particularly bright spot, with the sector benefiting from Colombia's growing international profile and, in part, from the visibility brought by the country's strong showing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Q2 figures offer a more optimistic picture for Colombian households and businesses heading into the second half of the year.
