The Chocó Pacific is the Colombia almost nobody sees: roadless, rain-soaked, gloriously wild. Nuquí and Bahía Solano are reached only by small plane, and what waits is black-sand beaches, rainforest meeting the surf, natural hot springs, and the warm Afro-Colombian culture of the coast.
From July to October, humpback whales arrive to calve and the ocean fills with breaching giants you can watch from the beach. Stay in an off-grid eco-lodge, eat fish pulled in that morning, and disconnect completely. This is bucket-list travel.
